Black and White


Yet another PHO234 assignment...

This time we were supposed to shoot a color image, convert it to grayscale and then bring back a single element of color.
Here's what I chose to do:



Second we were told to shoot an image with a lot of color in it and then convert it to black and white in 7 different ways.  Then we were supposed to choose the one we thought was best.
Here's mine - done using the Double Hue/Sat method:

Product

Although I'm studying Visual Journalism, I love being in the studio, planning out lighting and fun shots and coming up with new ways to pose a person or an object. I love it.
Recently I was assigned a new project for my Digital Color Workflow class. The point of the assignment was to photograph a product and a person using that product. The harder part: we had to color manage the photos so that the product is the exact same color, numerically, in both photos.
Here's how it turned out:
